Twilight Sunrise

"{{Not bad}}"

submission: Twilight Sunrise
date: October 4, 2008

Not too bad of an audio, it seems a little repetitive overal but its still OK.
The effects are nice, they have a sort of 'crystal' feel to them, as if they're delicate and fragile, interesting style and instantly likeable.
Just a bit repetitive.

Entering the Stronghold

"{{There be danger ahead}}"

date: October 4, 2008

The audio all the way seems to suggest that there is danger around the corner somewhere.
through the use of synth and strings it seems to explore that there is danger about and that you must be careful, as it continues it seems that it becomes more evident and danger is so close you have to stay quiet and be hasty.
This works really well and makes the audio enjoyable to listen to, the conclusion feels as if a door is flung open and the danger is so close that the music shuts off completely.
The danger's evident so there's no need to continue; it is there in front of the travellers.
Brilliant work.

Shadow of the Ninja - Stage 1

"{{Heavy bloody metal}}"

date: October 4, 2008

Woah, those guitars seem intense, almost as if they're on fire or being stretched to their limits... interesting enough the genre is Video Game so its scary that its not labelled as Heavy Metal or Rock.
The audio is pretty sweet, the guitar pretty much carries it but the bass and drums play a role in the background establishing the beat and keeping the guitar in line.
It really does sound Ninja-like, as if its the theme song or along those lines.

Ello

"{{Distorted}}"

submission: Ello
date: October 4, 2008

The song is pretty distorted, and the constant head banging ensemble that accompanies it doesn't help at all.
The vocals stand out as easily the best instrument (if that's so) with its soft mid range voice, alongside all of this distorted stuff it actually sounds ok but if the distortion is taken down a little along with the constant scrambling of instruments then the artist could take in new fans who like this style of music.
Its an interesting style, but interesting doesn't make a score or create fans.

Lets Boogie

"{{Interesting}}"

submission: Lets Boogie
date: October 4, 2008

A nice techno song, it sounds really good and the scratching noises at the beginning helps it start off establishing that it is a techno song, the scratching in question sounds very plausible and give the audio a bit of a jump start.
As it progresses, more beats come into play and ultimately in the end it achieves a very positive up beat techno song.
Very solid techno audio, may not appeal to other people however because of its odd style.

Gonna Fly Now

"{{Not bad}}"

submission: Gonna Fly Now
date: October 4, 2008

Interesting twist on the Ricky theme song, it sounds so reminiscent yet also new with all these differen and various effects like the 'bubble' sounds and the 'pull' sounds in the background.
They melt in well with the main beat and actually give it something more.
Could be very useful in a modern montage video.

The Longest

"{{Sounds beautiful}}"

submission: The Longest
date: October 4, 2008

Its actually good to hear what sounds like an actual band on Newgrounds.
This audio consists of many different sections showing off guitar, drums and vocals, each particular instrument is done well and plays their role.
The style of the audio is a little different with emphasis on instruments clashing to create rhythm, its not bad, works on a small scale but isn't pulled off that well most other times.
Overall the songs aren't too bad, its just not going to be everyone's genre to listen to.

Raining Happiness

"{{Enjoyable listen}}"

submission: Raining Happiness
date: October 4, 2008

The opening sounds similar to Marc Cohen's 'Walking in Memphis' song, at first I thought this was going to be some sort of remix but as this progressed I could see that this is highly original and no where near similar despite the beginning.
The piano work is done particularly well and is likeable, but the added effects that seem to 'sweep' the flash make set it apart from being simply a piano piece that it would be without them

:: Bounce Loop ::

"{{So happy}}"

submission: :: Bounce Loop ::
date: October 4, 2008

Its such a happy audio, it seems to cry out for someone to dance with it.
It could be useful on a puzzle game screen, just something to liven up the mood with its fast placid beat and soothing synth.
Definitely something you could dance to, the loop however seems to be non existent with a one second pause.

Author's Response:

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Yeah I dunno why it does that, FL Studio hates looping? Haha.

~Morning~

"{{Accurate title}}"

submission: ~Morning~
date: October 4, 2008

Get up! Get ready for the day! is what this audio seems to yell.
It sounds simplistic but the simplicity is what wins you over, its easy to instantly like and get dragged into.
While the tone melody sounds very simple, it is coupled with all these great sounding effects that lift it up with them, also; it makes the ending.
